Many employers just wrapped up their 2019 benefits renewals and open enrollment periods.  That makes this the perfect time to start planning for 2020!  Often, the most limiting factor in making a change is the feeling that you've run out of time.  This series of two-hour seminars will lay the foundation for evaluating your organization's employee benefits strategy - ahead of schedule!

    Session 1 - Redesign

If you could redesign your benefits program from scratch, would it look like the program you currently have?

Hour 1 will explore national and regional surveys, trends, and benchmarks.  We will also discuss the value of conducting your own employee benefits survey, and provide tips for collecting meaningful data.  These sources will inform our priorities for the redesign.

Hour 2 will focus on comparing and contrasting saving & spending accounts like FSA/HRA/HSA.  I'll explain why one or more of these accounts should serve as the cornerstone of your benefits program.  We'll also discuss design techniques for making these accounts less cumbersome, more accessible, and much more valuable.

Session 2 will be offered in February

Who: Rich Wilber is entering his 12th year in the employee benefits industry.  Most of that time was spent as an insurance broker and compliance director for a local agency, formerly known as Hartman Employee Benefits.  After spending some time as the commercial product design manager for Geisinger Health Plan, Rich was eager to get back to client-facing work.  He started a new firm, Aperture Consulting, in 2018 to continue providing consulting and brokerage services to local employer groups.
